You don't need to know chess to support a child who's learning it. Here's what helps.

Parent Guide

How to support a beginner

Free Apps

Lichess.org and Chess.com both offer free accounts and kid-friendly modes. We recommend Lichess for ad-free play. Ask us for setup tips.

Daily Practice

15 minutes a day

The single most effective chess habit for a kid is 15 minutes of daily practice — puzzles, a short game, or reviewing a recent loss. Consistency beats intensity.

★ For educators & program coordinators

Curriculum

Lesson plan starter

A 6-week beginner chess curriculum we've used in school partnerships. Free to schools and educators on request. Just ask.

What you need to start

Partnership

Have us run it

If you'd rather we run the club at your school or program site, that's our specialty. Free or sliding-scale, depending on your situation.
